President of the Student Art Association (Currently Anastasia Tumchenok)

As president, your vision and leadership define the direction of the association. You will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of board objectives and reciprocal support between the committees, through organizing a weekly board meeting and a monthly social drink with all committees. You are further responsible for establishing partnerships between other associations, faculty members or external Rotterdam-based art initiatives. You are responsible for the recruitment of board members, who in turn recruit their committee members. This will be an amazing leadership opportunity where the future of the Student Art Association depends on your initiative and drive. Core role of the President is to motivate, encourage and lead all board and committee members to work towards and accomplish the association’s goal. The duties of the President are extensive and crucial for the functioning of the association.

Hours per week: 8-10 depending on upcoming events


Visual Arts Manager

As the Visual Arts Manager your primary responsibilities concern the organization of: weekly workshops for the Visual Arts Committee, bi-annual medium exhibitions or one big exhibition, themes, promotion, recruitment of new members for the Visual Arts Committee. In addition to these organizational responsibilities, you attend Board Meetings as the representative of the Visual Arts Committee to coordinate activities with the other Board Members and take part in decision-making for the SAA as a whole.  These meetings are set by the President and usually occur weekly, but may vary accordingly.

Hours per week: 5-7 depending on upcoming events


Events Manager

Responsible for the organisation and managing of all the events of the Student Art Association. As well as recruitment of the Events Committee members. The Events Manager, along with their team, is additionally in charge of discovering and exploring ongoing art-related events in Rotterdam and promoting these events to the members of SAA and other students interested in the Rotterdam art scene.

Hours per week: 5-7 depending on upcoming events


Marketing Manager

If you live and breathe digital marketing, you are the one we need! As Marketing Team Leader, you will represent the Marketing Committee and make sure that all online platforms stay active and promote the activities of the Events and Visual Arts Committees. You will make sure that the Marketing Committee implements, tracks and optimizes coherent digital marketing campaigns. Recruit new members for your team and navigate them through managing Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts of SAA. You will also introduce and brainstorm new marketing strategies. If you feel qualified with strong creative and management skills, and have new ideas to bring to the table, do not hesitate to apply!

Hours per week: 5-7 depending on upcoming events


Creative Director

As Creative Director you are responsible for all journalism activities including interviewing, photographing and content creation within the SAA. You are the one in charge of the monthly newsletter, website and bi-monthly blog posts. You work closely with the events committee during events such as the Human Library and the Exhibitions to provide content and contacts. You further work closely with the marketing committee to create content and to establish the brand of our association.

Hours per week: 5-7 depending on upcoming events
